The cover for this book was created by Evie-Mae's very talented sister, Amber Crawford.

This is a story of bravery, friendship, perseverance and imagination, and a young girl with her labrador, who go out for a countryside stroll and end up saving the world from an unexpected invasion, meeting royalty, and receiving the ultimate honour from the King of the United Kingdom.
All profits from the sale of this book will be donated to Down's Syndrome Oxford (DSO) in loving memory of Evie-Mae Crawford.

Matilda-Mae & Paddington
About the Authors
Paul and Jacquii live in a charming village on the outskirts of Oxford with their beloved dogs, Matilda-Mae and Paddington. When they are not immersed in writing, Paul works as an Electrical Engineer, while Jacquii works as a Business Planner. Jacquii is a stroke survivor, bringing resilience and determination to everything she does.
Together, they are passionate supporters of Spaniel Aid UK, The Epilepsy Society, Down’s Syndrome Oxford, and the Stroke Association. Paul has completed the London Marathon twice, raising money for the Samaritans.
Paul and Jacquii have always dreamed of writing children’s books, drawing inspiration from the joy, love, and antics of their furry companions. Matilda-Mae and Paddington continue to spark excitement in their storytelling, just as their late dogs Bailey, Charlie, Jazz, Meg, and Gemima and once did.
Their sixth children’s book, Gemima’s Best Christmas Ever, was inspired by their rescue dog Gemima, with 50% of profits donated to Spaniel Aid UK. Their eighth book, Evie the Brave & her Sidekick Cleo, was inspired by their courageous friend Evie-Mae Crawford, with all profits donated to Down’s Syndrome Oxford (DSO).
Paul and Jacquii are especially proud of achieving a Christmas Number One when Evie the Brave & her Sidekick Cleo reached the top of Amazon’s Hot New Releases charts during Christmas 2023. In 2024, they were delighted to receive the Golden Wizard Book Prize for Children’s Literature for the same title.
Alongside their English publications, Paul and Jacquii have also published books in German, expanding their reach and connecting with young readers across languages.
