Matilda's Magical Tails:
Pumpkin Soup in Paris

Loved it!

We so loved this book myself and my daughter.  Follow Matilda and the gang as they travel through Paris trying to help their new friend Bleu.  They are trying to save the day as the famous painting the Mona Lisa is damaged. Will they manage to return the painting to its glory from a pumpkin soup attack.  Well you will have to read it and find out.  Great imagination and lovely illustrations. A must read for children.

Matilda's Magical Tails: Lost in New York

Fun and Educational

I love the way the story is coupled with facts about New York City.  Young readers can enjoy the adventures of cocker spaniel Matilda and Meg the Labrador as the two go through a magic portal to New York and hunt for their missing friend Brinkley.

They encounter all sorts of historical and interesting places as they go. It's a great idea to look these up and find out more about New York as you read together. With short manageable chapters, some sweet illustrations and engaging main characters this is a fun and educational book to share with young readers.

The Mystery Bus Tour

Well Written

This was a very well written book which would appeal to slightly older kids. Great use of words to describe the adventures of the dogs whilst out and about in the city of London. There are numerous references to some of the great sight seeing spots.  eg Madam Tussauds, Crystal Palace, the Victoria and Albert Museum etc.

It's jam packed with historical fact and places of interest ... but more than anything ... it's a great doggy day out! Just wished there were more photos.

The Search for Nessie

Pawsome Canine Capers

Delightful adventure story of three dogs, Matilda, Bailey and Meg. In Harry Potter Style, they travel through secret portals to delve the depths of Loch Ness and soar the heights of Ben Nevis. Along the way they meet many friends including Merlin, with his 'would you rather' conundrum and the Loch Ness Twins. Imaginative book with some cool illustrations that young children will enjoy.

Evie the Brave

Great Representation

This is a fast paced story with great representation.  Evie the Brave and of course, her sidekick Cleo, show that anyone can change the world.  The story itself is full of wonderful and colourful imagery, interesting facts and a fun plot that develops quickly, just like Evie's new superpowers.

Gemima's Best Christmas Ever

Absolutely Wonderful

Oh, we so loved this story.  Follow Gemima's story as she sadly lives in an orphanage that isn't a very nice place to be. Her friends are put up for adoption and her best friend Izzy is taken away. Sad and lonely she finds some comfort from a mouse Timmy and what conspires is a beautiful story of how she saves Christmas with the big man and his elves. There is happened in the end and Gemima is definitely on the good list.  Highly recommended.
